Teresa “Gigi” DeBerry is an artist and arts educator currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BA in Art Practice and Latin American Literature at the University of California Berkeley, MSEd in Urban Education at Johns Hopkins University and MAT at Relay Graduate School of Education. Gigi currently works as a full-time art teacher at a Brooklyn public middle school. She also collaborates with the NYC DOE as a facilitator for district wide arts development programming and teacher trainings.

With over 15 years of experience spanning arts education, arts and leadership, Gigi’s passion lies in creating pathways for underrepresented communities to fully engage with the arts. With a strong commitment to youth development, she brings extensive expertise in arts based programming and education, specializing in program development, curriculum design, and leadership.
